Is there no end to President Barack Obama's push to throw away our tax dollars? Apparently not. With billions of dollars already lost in boondoggles such as Solyndra, Obama on Tuesday announced a new giveaway.
Obama - without consulting Congress - said $200 million in new and extended tax credits will be used to encourage investments in vehicles that run on biofuels or other "alternatives."
Meanwhile, the White House continues its war on coal and reasonably priced electricity, cutting support for research to burn coal more cleanly.
And, of course, he persists in blocking the Keystone XL Pipeline, which could bring enormous supplies of oil to the U.S.
But energy independence isn't really Obama's goal.
Using our money to delight environmentalists and political cronies is the real mission.
