James Frohnapfel

FROHNAPFEL, James W., 76, of Colerain Pike. Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Sunday, February 2, 2014.

Jim was born in Martins Ferry on October 1, 1937, the son of the late Walter James and Bernadine (Fox) Frohnapfel.

He was a retired employee of the former LTV Steel of Cleveland, Ohio. Jim was also a well known self employed contractor in the valley. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of Colerain, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jean Vargo.

In addition to his wife, Nellie E. (Carter) Frohnapfel, he is survived by four daughters, Carol (Jack) Hameister, Chicago, Ill.; Elizabeth (David Wyckoff) Frohnapfel, Barnsville, Ohio; Stephaney Farris and Brandy McCorkle-Carroll, both of Martins Ferry; two grandsons, Jackson Hameister and Scotty Farris; granddaughter, Cia'ra Farris.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Home, 615 Hanover Street, Martins Ferry where friends will be received Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 until Noon.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1 p.m.

The VFW Belmont County Honor Guard will give military honors at the funeral home Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
