Thirty-four nuclear missile launch officers have been implicated in a scheme to cheat on tests meant to ensure they know how to operate their ultra-deadly weapons, the Air Force revealed this week. That comes on top of another missile program scandal involving drugs.

This is not just another government scandal. In certain circumstances, it could be a matter of life or death, and it needs to be treated as such.
