BIGGS, Mary E., 78, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born March 3, 1935, in Cameron, W.Va., a daughter to the late John and Eulalia (Wink) Harding.
She was retired after 30 years from Wheeling Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Hammer; and two sisters, Ella Sacco and Nita Hammer.
She is survived by her loving husband, Fred Biggs; one son, John Harding of Wheeling and his fiancee, Linda J. Groves, and her children, Victoria Pericellia, and Jeremy Coulter, and her grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Hunter Coulter, and Kaydence Coulter; one daughter, Candy (James) Zadai of Moundsville, W.Va.; six grandchildren, James Zadai, William Zadai, Ashley Zadai (Chuck Gracik), Christopher Zadai, Jonathan R. Harding and Heidi Hammer; two great- grandchildren, Zachary Zadai and Tyler Hammer; and nephew William Sacco.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, where funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glen Baker Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.
