Bonnie Dangelo

DANGELO, Bonnie, 92, passed away Tuesday morning, December 17, 2013, at the Country Club Retirement Campus, Dover, Ohio.

Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, who was kind-hearted and generous with family and neighbors.

Born June 12, 1921 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late David and Helen Jenkins, Bonnie was a long- time resident of Bridgeport, Oho. She was preceded in death by Joseph, her loving husband of 73 years and her brother Raoul Jenkins.

Bonnie was a graduate and valedictorian of Martins Ferry High School, class of 1938, and worked for L.S. Goods of Wheeling for many years as a buyer and a department supervisor. She and her husband Joe spent many Saturday nights at dances with friends and loved spending holidays and weekends with family. They also enjoyed family outings at the lake, having picnics at Oglebay Park, and traveling to California and Florida on family vacations. Bonnie also enjoyed talking politics and there wasn't a crossword puzzle she couldn't solve. She had a special fondness for animals and loved it when her family would bring their dogs to visit. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry, Ohio.

Bonnie will be sadly missed by friends and family.

She is survived by two children; son, Norm and his wife Jackie of Laguna Hills, CA; and a daughter, JoAnn (Weir) and her husband Bill of Gnadenhutten, Ohio; five grandchildren, Doug Weir of Scottsdale, AZ, Tracy (Weir) Monaco and husband Kevin of San Diego, CA, Todd Dangelo and wife Jackie of Bloomsbury, NJ, Kelly Weir of Columbus, OH, and Josh Weir of Canton, OH; four great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Taylor, Courtney and Rachel.

A Family Memorial Service is being planned for a later date.

The family is being assisted by Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio.
