EARNEST, Mabel L. Yoho, 97, of Moundsville, WV, formerly of Cameron, WV, died Monday, October 14, 2013, in Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville.
She was born June 18, 1916, in Cameron, the daughter of the late George and Mary Lucretia Wendt.
She was a member of the Baptist Church of Waynesburg, PA, and after moving to Cameron she attended the Cameron First Brethren Church, where she played the piano and loved working with children.
She also cared for the elderly; and worked for the former Cameron Pottery; Wheeling Sewing Factory, and Buckheimer Sewing Factory of Cameron.
Mabel played and was a member of the Senior Citizens Hillbilly Band of Waynesburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Glenn Yoho; 2nd husband, Donald Earnest; three sisters, Lola, Grace, and Helen; and three brothers, Herman, Arthur, and George, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Joanna Yoho.
Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine "Gerry" (Richard) Polen of Spraggs, PA, and Ada Jean (Robert) Bingamon of Floral City, FL; a son, Roy (Charlotte) Yoho of Moundsville; a sister, Virginia Miller of Canton, OH; a brother, Lloyd (Delores) Wendt of Moundsville; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. J. Thomas Steele officiating.
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard.
