BUMGARDNER, Joseph, 85, of Wheeling, WV, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Peterson Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 16, 1927, in Wheeling, a son to the late George and Marie Bumgardner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Helen Works Bumgardner and a stepson, Gilbert Leroy "Peewee" Bumgardner
He is survived by three stepsons, John Bumgardner, Dennis "Dickie" Bumgardner and Charley Armstrong, all of Wheeling, WV, and two stepdaughters, Bertha "Sue" Reineke and Karen Bumgardner, all of Wheeling, WV; and many grand children and great-grand children.
Friends will be received Tuesday, February 26, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Msgr. Kevin Quirk officiating.
Interment will follow at a later date at Stone Church Cemetery, Wheeling.
