Janet Farley

FARLEY, Janet (McGee), 93, formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., died on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton (Ohio).

She was born October 9, 1919, the daughter of the late James H. & Mary (McConville) McGee. She worked at the C&P Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wheeling. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, the Wheeling Park Women's Golf Club, a former member of the Bello-Vedere Homemakers, and was a Wheeling Hospital Volunteer for more than 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert J. Farley, her sister, Betty Cilles, and brothers, James H., Vincent J., and Bernard A. McGee.

Surviving are three daughters, Barbara A. Kubiszak and her husband, Ed of Valparaiso, Ind., Jane M. Ruminski and her husband, Henry of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Mary Beth Stradinger and her husband, David of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Edward and Robert Kubiszak, Ann Marie Kubiszak Rode, Mary Kubiszak Rushton, Farley Minor, Jan-Marie Ruminski, Jason Nash, and Martine Nash Williams; two great-granddaughters, Scarlett Alexis Nash and Kaitlin Marie Rode; four great grandsons, Lucas Shaw, Nash Joiner Williams, Robert Jason Nash, and Caleb Alexander Rode; and several nieces & nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 4-7 P.M. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, W.Va., where a vigil service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Gary Naegele as celebrant. Internment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 2244 Marshall Ave, Wheeling, W.Va. 26003 and/or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
