The 64th tenant opened for business at The Highlands near Triadelphia Friday.

The AT&T store is now welcoming cellular phone customers, and three more businesses should open in time for the holidays, according to Greg Stewart, Ohio County administrator.

"We've had 19 tenants open this year, and that's just amazing in this economy," he said.

Stewart said the number of tenants now at The Highlands is 64. Stewart added that his office has received letters of intent from 12 other tenants who wish to locate at the Ohio County-owned development next year. While he couldn't yet name those businesses, Stewart did identify those stores that will open at The Highlands in the coming weeks. These businesses will be located near the Town Center section.

Nini's Treasures, presently located at Stratford Springs, will move there. The other new tenants will be Tony's Nails and H&R Block.

"We're just looking for a great holiday season," he said.

The new AT&T store, meanwhile, has some amenities not found at other local AT&T stores, said Michelle Zeman-Cutright, retail sales manager at the store.

She demonstrated the "interactive center," where customers can access via computer information about phones available from AT&T. The customer can even type in what functions they want in a phone, and the computer will suggest appropriate models.
