Scouts Plan Dinner
The Two Chiefs District of the Ohio Valley River Council, Boy Scouts of America, is making preparations for a first-time dinner-dance fundraiser.
The event will be held Nov. 8 at the Serbian-American Cultural Center in Weirton with a dinner buffet beginning at 6 p.m. followed by dancing to the music of Legend, a popular local band from 8-11 p.m. The event is open to the public and tickets are available by calling the Scout office at 800-365-8028 or Patty Criss at 304-797-1443. The deadline to order tickets is Oct. 29.
The event will include a cash bar available. In addition, there will be numerous prizes, a silent auction and raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the Ohio River Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Door prize donations are still being accepted.
The Two Chiefs District covers Hancock and Brooke countie sin West Virginia and parts of Jefferson Harrison and Belmont countues in Ohio. The district has 23 Cub Scout packs, 25 Boy Scout troops and four Venture crews, all of which serve 1,049 youth members and their families.
