Park Remains Unbeaten

The Wheeling Park boys' soccer team remained undefeated after posting a pair of victories this weekend.

The Patriots (16-0-3), ranked first in the state, blanked Bridgeport, 3-0, on the road Saturday, less than 24 hours after topping No. 3 Martinsburg, 2-1, at Field 4 in Wheeling.

Zach Aderholt recorded a pair of goals against Bridgeport, with Josh Henedsron adding the other. Matt Ceo and Fernando Olea Comas scored goals against Martinsburg.

Weir 6, Ravenswood 5

WEIRTON - Chad Ford recorded a hat trick, upping his season goal total to 37, and Tyler Salko scored twice as the Red Riders posted the victory.

University 2, Brooke 1

MORGANTOWN - Cody Schwertfeger assisted Jonathan Hood on Brooke's lone goal and keeper Josh Counselman had 11 saves in a loss to University.

Williamstown 4

Tyler Consolidated 3

WILLIAMSTOWN - Bryn Perkey had two goals and Skylar Kinnard had the other but it wasn't enough as Tyler Consolidated (8-7-1) fell to Williamstown. Kinnard added an assist and keeper Mack Haught made nine saves.

Girls

John Marshall 1

East Liverpool 0

GLEN DALE - Jesse Rutan scored with less then two minutes remaining in the game as John Marshall blanked the Potters.

Kristin Hewitt made 2 saves for the Monarchs (10-7-1).
