RINKES, Edward L., 81, of Seabrights Lane, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Thursday, July 17, 2008, at his residence.

He was born in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on March 23, 1927, a son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Glover) Rinkes.

He was a retired employee of the Ohio Valley Dairy of Martins Ferry. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II and also served in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. (Secoy) Rinkes.

He is survived by two sons, Tom (Patricia) Rinkes, Bridgeport, Ohio, and David (Marlene) Rinkes, Greysville, Ohio; two brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Rinkes, St. Clairsville, and Charles (Jeannie) Rinkes, Houston, Texas; sister, Donna (Truman) Kelly, Alexandria, Va. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Home, Martins Ferry, Ohio.

Services are private at the convenience of family.

Interment will be held in Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.
